William Luciw, Managing Director, Viewpoint West Partners LLC
William is a principal at Viewpoint West Partners LLC, a technology advisory company and bespoke consultantcy.
William has been part of some of the most exciting and advanced consumer technology products in both Silicon Valley and Seattle. As Sr Research Scientist, William worked in Apple's R&D facility for six years on advanced projects like Apple Newton 1.0.
In Seattle, William was also a Sr Research Scientist and Software Developer for Paul Allen's Starwave, the originators of online services such as Ticketmaster.com, ESPN.com, NBA.com, MrShowBiz and FamilyPlanet.
At Excite@Home, William was the the Sr Manager for Core Internet Services. His group ran all the critical 24x7 online services for the entire @Home Network, including over 30 regional data centers, both domestic and international.
William was Principal Product Technologist for Multimedia Messaging and Mobile Charging for Openwave Systems. He directed many system trials and deployments around the globe, including the world's first true prepaid multimedia messaging service in Cape Town, South Africa for Vodacom (a Vodafone property). William consolidated the mobile charging technology architecture for Openwave's diverse mobile data services such as multimedia messaging, premium browsing and downloads.
William has been CTO, Director and Advisor for numerous Silicon Valley companies. He is the primary or sole inventor on 10 U.S. software patents.
